Description

TLS, one page, 7.5 x 10.5, personal letterhead, October 26, 1961. Letter to lawyer Nelson Buhler, in full: “I am sorry to learn of the death of your uncle, Joseph S. Buhler, and I hope you will be good enough to convey my deep sympathy to his widow and to the other members of the family. Needless to say, I am complimented by your suggestion that I again accept Honorary Membership in the Lambs Club; I do so gladly and I shall be glad to have you keep me informed on the activities of the Club, as your uncle did for so many years.” In fine condition, with toning from prior display. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, a vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 Fabian Bachrach portrait photograph of Eisenhower, and a bronze 2.75˝ medallion commemorating the 1953 presidential inauguration of Dwight D. Eisenhower, manufactured by the Medallic Art Company of New York.
