Collection of 19 original vintage portrait sketches of classic actresses from the Golden Age of Hollywood, all of which are signed in ink by the pictured starlet and inscribed to the artist, J. Fred Johnson. The oversized sketches are accomplished in graphite and colored pencil on off-white sheets of drawing paper, approximately 13.5 x 16.5, and include the following actresses: Eve Arden, Joan Blondell, Dagmar, Eva Gabor, Dolores Gray, Joan Greenwood, Signe Hasso, June Havoc, Marsha Hunt, Betty Hutton, Christine Jorgensen, Viola Keats, Nancy Kelly, Janis Paige, Lilli Palmer, Haila Stoddard, Estelle Winwood, and two others. Each is also signed in pencil by the artist, and Jorgensen is matted to an overall size of 16 x 20. In overall very good condition, with areas of thin paper and paper loss, some affecting some of the handwriting.
