Large felt tip signature of Zhao Ziyang on a 6.75 x 4.75 invitation card commemorating the 35th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Inside, bilingual text in English and Chinese reads: "In Celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China, General Office of the State Council of P.R.C. cordially invites you to A Reception on Tuesday, September 25 1984, at 6:00 p.m., at Banquet Hall of the Great Hall of the People." In very fine condition. Consignor notes that the autograph was obtained at the event, where the premier had given a speech to the assembled foreign and local guests.
