Two items signed in black ink by photographer Joe Rosenthal: a semi-glossy 5 x 7 silver gelatin photo of the iconic flag-raising on Iwo Jima; and its accompanying Associated Press News Photo Service envelope, 8 x 6.25, postmarked on September 10, 1945, which is hand-addressed by Rosenthal, who incorporates his signature to the upper left return address field. In overall fine condition, with edge rippling to the photo, and some light creasing to the mailing envelope.
