Attractive set of beach-inspired Apple Computer clothing: an extra large gray t-shirt with the front featuring the stylized text, “I Helped Apple Wreck a Nice Beach!,” below a beach scene with a tipped trash can spilling apple cores across the sand, and the back showing a cartoon computer with smiley face and ears below ‘corrected’ text: “I Helped Apple Recognize Speech!”; a pair of blue Apple Computer bathing suit shorts, size large; and a pair of purple Apple Computer beach shorts, size extra large. Both shorts feature the iconic Apple ‘rainbow’ logo tag to the left pocket. In overall very good to fine condition, with stains to the shorts.
The offered t-shirt was given to volunteers who donated their voices for one hour of reading to a speech recognition group that was collecting samples while developing the Mac's ‘Text-to-Speech’ technology. This tech was also used to develop PlainTalk for System 7.1 and was the first speech recognition software to go into the Quadra 840AV.
