Letter sent from Saint-Cloud, sent to the Minister of the Interior regarding the payment of a pension and travel expenses. In part (translated): "l ask you, Citizen Minister, to do what is necessary for C. Barial who is due a pension increase and pay him travel expenses for his trip and the sum of 3000 francs and write a letter of recommendation and letting him know that his is free to go home. I salute you." Handsomely matted and framed with a color portrait to an overall size of 18 x 14.5, with a Goodspeed's Book Shop label on the reverse. In fine condition.
