Exceptionally early Royal Christmas card from 1931, measuring 11.5 x 6.5 open, the inside featuring a family portrait of the Duke and Duchess of York with their two young daughters, signed below the image in fountain pen, “Bertie” and “Elizabeth, 1931.” In fine condition, with some light soiling. A highly desirable card given its early date and informal signatures — King George VI was named Albert at birth and known as "Bertie" to his family and close friends.
