Patriarch of the fabled family of American politicians (1888–1969) who served as American ambassador to Great Britain from 1938 to 1940. One of the Kennedy patriarch’s scarce personal calling cards, 3 x 1.5, signed in black ink, “With best wishes for a Happy Christmas & Bright New Year,” with Kennedy crossing out his printed first name, and signing underneath, “Joe.” In fine condition, with two small staple holes at the top left. Of particular interest to the advanced Kennedy collector, as this format is exceedingly uncommon.
