Description

TLS, two pages, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, April 29, 1940. Letter to Freck Kessinger, in part: "Sorry I was so long in answering your letter about the club, but here it is now and I'll do my best to answer all your questions. Certainly it is okay for you to use the name 'Pick A Rib' for your club. The only place I can tell you that you can get a complete list of our recordings is from the Victor Catalog and then our more recent recordings are listed in the new Columbia Catalog. The personnel of our sextet is as follows; Charles Christain, guitar. Arthur Bernstein, bass. John Guarnieri, piano. Nick Fatool, drums, Lionel Hampton, vibraharp, and myself on clarinet." In very good to fine condition, with a vertical slice to the bottom of the first page. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
