Description

Influential early American political cartoonist and illustrator (1840–1902) considered to be the 'Father of the American Cartoon.' Partly-printed DS, signed “Th: Nast,” one page, 8 x 5.5, November 11, 1892. Promissory note, in part: "Three months after date I promise to pay…ten hundred dollars, at the First National Bank of Morristown, for value received." Neatly signed at the conclusion in ink by Nast. In fine condition. Accompanied by two unsigned brochures containing descriptions of Nast's caricatures.
