Exceptional vintage pearl-finish 8 x 10 double-weight photo by Theatrical of Chicago, showing Armstrong admiring his trumpet in a three-quarter-length pose, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "My best wishes to Dan & Mary, from, Louis Armstrong, 9/14/31,” and then signed again twenty-seven years later in bold green ink, "Louis Armstrong, 1958." In very good to fine condition, with a brush to the green ink, some streaked irregularity to the emulsion, and light silvering to darker areas of the image.
