Original circa 1945 matte-finish 11 x 14 photograph of three American soldiers standing over a flooded bomb crater with the gory remains of Japanese snipers. The photograph, originally taken by Harry R. Watson of the United States Coast Guard, was captured during the Battle of Leyte in the Philippines. In fine condition, with a couple of faint creases. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA, which identifies this as a ‘Type I’ photograph.
