Wellington writes to a bookseller in the Strand

Third-person ALS, one page, 4.75 x 7.75, December 6, 1836. Handwritten letter to bookseller James Bohn in the Strand, in part: "The Duke of Wellington presents his compliments to Mr. Bohn….If Mr. Bohn will be so kind as to send to His House the Work in question which Mr. Peirse has been so kind as to present to the Duke, with this note, the Work will be received. The Duke in absence returns his thanks." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Wellington's hand and initialed "W."
