Description

Rare German-language book: The Experience of the XI Olympiad in Words, Pictures and Sound by Paul Müller, Friedrich Richter, and Hans Hitzer. Berlin, Germany: Verlag Bernard & Graefe, 1936. Softcover with slipcase, 10.5 x 10.75, 210 pages. Includes three shellac discs with recorded broadcasts of Reichs-Rundfunk, the official Nazi radio station of the Games, covering the main events and competitions. Paul Müller was the head of the Olympic broadcasting station in Berlin, and he was assisted by Friedrich Richter, the editor-in-chief of Olympische Spiele. The discs were made by the well-known company Telefunken. In fine condition, with rubbing and wear to slipcase, which bears sunning to spine.
