Attractive set of five vintage original press photographs of Jesse Owens at the Berlin 1936 Summer Olympics, glossy and silver gelatin finishes, ranging in size from 9.5 x 7 to 8 x 10, picturing the American athlete competing in the 100-meter and 200-meter races, the long jump, and seated with three of his gold medals, which were presented to him with Oak saplings. The reverse of each photo bears stamps from Weltbild (Berlin), Central Press Photos, Wide World Photos, Keystone View Company, and The Associated Press, with all but one featuring affixed photo captions. In overall fine condition, with light scattered creasing to the glossy photos.
