Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 15.75 x 19.5, September 12, 1893. President Cleveland appoints Alexander N. Stark as "Assistant Surgeon with the rank of First Lieutenant in the service of the United States." Neatly signed at the conclusion in ink by President Grover Cleveland and countersigned by Secretary of War Daniel S. Lamont. The blue paper seal affixed to the lower left remains mostly intact. In fine condition.
