Description

ALS signed “Kate,” one page both sides, 6.25 x 4.25, personal letterhead, no date. Letter to Armina, in full: "What an adorable thing to do – it just made the evening, as far as I was concerned. I can't begin to tell you how curiously secure it made me feel like a little rose that Laurette gave to Spence on his opening in Rugged Path." In fine condition. Accompanied by a photograph of Hepburn. The "Spence" referred to in this letter is actor Spencer Tracy (1900-1967) who made his return to the stage in the 1945 play, The Rugged Path, and was engaged in a 26-year-long affair with Hepburn (1907-2003) that ended with his death.
