Appealing color 4 x 6 postcard of Roy Lichtenstein’s 1962 comic book-inspired painting ‘Eddie Diptych,’ signed in the lower border in black felt tip, “R. Lichtenstein.” In fine condition. Lichtenstein began making comic-book paintings in the 1960s with works like Whaam! (1963) and Eddie Diptych (1962). He transformed comic images into monumental works of fine art by enlarging them and rendering them with the so-called ‘Ben Day’ dots used to print newspaper images.
