Adams sends a letter to his grandson-in-law

Free-franked address panel, 4.75 x 3, addressed and dated in another hand, "Quincy, Ma., Dec’r 15th, Alexander B. Johnson, Esq’re, Attica, Oneida County, New York," and franked by the elderly statesman, "J. Adams." The panel is affixed to an off-white 7.5 x 4.5 album page and is in fine condition, with scattered small stains. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder. The recipient is ostensibly Alexander Bryan Johnson (1786–1867) a British-born American philosopher and semanticist who married Abigail Louisa Smith Adams, daughter of Charles Adams and Sally Smith, and granddaughter of John Adams and Abigail Adams.
