World War I-dated partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 15.75 x 19.75, October 12, 1916. President Wilson appoints Samuel Clifton Baldwin as a “First Lieutenant in the Medical Reserve Corps of the Army of the United States.” Signed at the conclusion by Woodrow Wilson and countersigned by acting Secretary of War William Moulton Ingraham. The blue War Office seal remains affixed to the lower left corner. In fine condition, with some fading to Wilson's signature.
