Attractive engraved certificate from the United States Naval Academy, which affirms that Naval Cadet Isaac Irving Gates “has completed the prescribed course of Study at the United States Naval Academy and has passed with distinction the required examination before the Academic Board, preparatory to the two years course afloat.” Signed at the conclusion by Commander Richard Wainwright as superintendent and by 10 other staff members and faculty. In fine condition, with overall wrinkling.
