Dark grayish purple double-row tambourine that Prince personally gifted to the owner of the Minneapolis flower shop, Ramblin’ Rose. The attractive tambourine features a 10″ open head and bears a printed "Love God" label on the handle in the style of Prince's handwriting. In fine condition, with slight wear from use. Prince used this type of tambourine during the Purple Rain Tour in 1984-1985.
Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the daughter of the original recipient: “During the 1980's, my mother owned and operated a flower design shop named the Ramblin' Rose in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She came to work for several artists in the music scene including Prince. During and after the filming of ‘Purple Rain’ she did flowers for him personally and sometimes worked at Paisley Park. Prince personally gifted her this tambourine while she was working with him.”
