LS in Spanish, signed "Yo El Ray," one page, 8.25 x 12, December 21, 1593. Letter concerning a pay raise for a noble cabin boy and sailor, in part (translated): "Taking everything into consideration, I have deemed it fitting and desirable that he be granted the favor of twenty escudos for maintenance in place of the aforementioned twelve escudos for said Don Alonso de Rocaful be stricken from the records." In fine condition, with light show-through from docketing on the reverse.
