Original circa 1990s “Servants Quarters” employee sign from The Haunted Mansion dark ride in Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida. The reverse-decorated Plexiglas sign, 11.75˝ x 4.25˝, is in the shape of a black bat with outspread wings, the inner body of which bears white text, “Servants Quarters.” In fine condition, with light scuffs and marks. Displayed in The Haunted Mansion to designate cast member-only areas, this iconic ‘bat sign’ was retired from use during the ride’s 2007 rehab and was replaced with a more traditional-looking sign that utilizes the same wording. A very rare and charming piece of Disneyana.
