A National League notice to player of release for John W. Cooney from the Brooklyn National League Baseball Club, Inc., signed at the conclusion by Branch Rickey as club president. In fine condition. Accompanied by the original Brooklyn Dodgers mailing envelope. Johnny Cooney enjoyed a 20-year career as a multi-positional baseball player for teams such as the Boston Braves, the Brooklyn Dodgers, and the New York Yankees. After his playing career, Cooney spent another twenty years as a manager.
