Shortlidge, in part: "If I were to make any suggestions to the young people mentioned by you, they would be that they should speak the truth at all times, and so control their thoughts and actions that they would feel that their motives and purposes were honorable and just. In this way they will always respect themselves and feel that they are entitled to the confidence and esteem of others."
