Owen embossed letterhead, December 6, 1872. Handwritten letter to J. Hanson Thomas, in part: "As you did not know before the meeting of our Board, whether any accommodation could be given to me I write to ask what determination was arrived at. I can give a sight-dft. on Memphis for $300…I should like to obtain that amt." In fine condition, with light creasing.
