ALS signed "G. T. Beauregard," one page, 4.75 x 7.75, November 30, 1891. A cryptic handwritten reply to Mr. A. S. Garnett, in full: "Dear Sir, Gen'l R[ichard] Taylor C. S. A. left two daughters here, one of whom is married to a Mr. Walter R. Stauffer—No. 71 Canal Street—She may possibly be of service to you." Double-matted and framed with a portrait of Beauregard in uniform to an overall size of 19 x 15. In fine condition. A nicely preserved example of the General's continuing loyalty to his Southern brethren.
