Description

ALS, one page, 5.5 x 8, November 5, 1858. Addressed from Liverpool, England, a handwritten letter to Mr. Eno, in part: “I met your partner Mr. King in Manchester a few days since, & in talking over my interest in real estate in New York, and especially the long lease which my wife holds of the American Museum, Mr. King said (what I already believed) that no man in New York was more competent to advise upon that subject than yourself. I have no shadow or right to ask for you advice & yet I feel that you will give it with pleasure. If this is so, than I hope that my son-in-law Mr. Hurd & the Museum manager Mr. Greenwood will be permitted to hold an interview with you at such time & place as will suit your convenience.” In fine condition.
