Official winner’s medal box from the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics, consisting of a beautifully crafted red rosewood presentation case, 6˝ x 6˝ x 1.75,˝ with the lid bearing the engraved gilt emblem of the Games of the XXIX Olympiad and the inside bearing luminant yellow lining and a removable medal tray. The case is completed by its traditional Chinese brocade box, 6.75˝ x 6.75˝ x 2.5˝, the overlying pattern redolent of the ‘Propitious Clouds’ design found on the official Beijing torch.
