Attractive vintage ballpoint signatures of the Beatles—“John Lennon,” “Paul McCartney, xx,” “Ringo Starr,” and “George Harrison,” who adds the inscription “To Anne Love from”— on an off-white 8 x 6.5 sheet. The consignor notes that the signatures were obtained at Aeolian Hall in London, England, on November 25, 1964, when the Beatles appeared on the BBC Light program Saturday Club for the 10th and last time. The recording for the show took place between 7:00 pm and 10:30 pm, including rehearsal time, and the program was broadcast on BBC radio on December 26, 1964. In very good to fine condition, with two tape stains, light creasing, and intersecting folds.
Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks and a signed letter of provenance from the original recipient who was married to the show’s producer: “I worked as a production secretary at the BBC during the 1960s. I worked for Ron Belchier who was the producer of Easy Beat and I married the producer of Saturday Club, Bill Bebb. I obtained the autographs of the Beatles, illustrated below, at a recording session held at the BBC in London in the 1960s. The Beatles gave myself and several other secretaries their autographs and then stopped and chatted to us for a while. A wonderful day.”
