Wooden single-row tambourine with an appealing black paisley design on the head, 10˝ in diameter, which was used by Prince during rehearsals for the 1987 concert film Sign o' the Times. In fine condition.
Accompanied by a signed letter of authenticity from Matthew Quast, who worked as a production film sound mixer and playback operator on the Prince films Purple Rain, Sign o' the Times, and Graffiti Bridge. He writes: “This Paisley print tambourine was used by Prince and other members of his band, during rehearsals for the concert film Sign O' the Times, which we shot entirely on the Paisley Park sound stage. It was left on my production sound cart when we completed principal photography on the film.”
