Description

Detroit Red Wings hockey jacket worn by Michael Jackson during the Off the Wall era

Michael Jackson’s personally-owned and -worn vintage NHL Detroit Red Wings jacket by Starter, which Jackson presented as a gift to his employee Terry Kisor, who worked for Jackson as both a driver and photographer during the 1980s. The red button-up bomber-style jacket, size medium, with nylon shell and polyester liner, features red-and-white knit cuffs, collar, and waistband, two front pockets, and the left chest bears a large Red Wings logo patch. Included are several candid photos of Jackson wearing an identical jacket, which matches perfectly with the style and color patterns of the jacket offered here. In fine condition.

Accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from Kisor, who writes: “This letter is written out to confirm the authenticity of the red NHL Detroit Wings letterman jacket worn by the late Popking Michael Jackson around his Off The Wall era. Over my long employment relationship with Mr. Jackson he has gifted this jacket to me after a studio recording night.”
