Rare circa 1963 vintage handbill from Harold Leventhal Management of New York, 3 x 11, promoting a total of 18 musical acts and their upcoming concerts in late 1963–early 1964. Listed second from the top is Dylan's now legendary concert at Carnegie Hall on Saturday, October 26, 1963. Other acts include: Peter, Paul & Mary, Leon Bibb, Clancy Bros. & Tommy Makem, The Chad Mitchell Trio, Bill Monroe and Doc Watson, Modern Jazz Quartet, Swapping Song Fair, Earl Robinson, Juan Serrano, Little Singers of Tokyo, Flatt & Scruggs, Joan Baez, Odetta, The Weavers, Miriam Makeba, Theodore Bikel, and Pete Seeger. In fine condition.
Recorded by CBS Records for a proposed live LP tentatively entitled In Concert, Dylan’s 19-song performance at Carnegie Hall on October 26, 1963, was all but forgotten following the assassination of President Kennedy. In 1991, four songs emerged on The Bootleg Series, Vols. 1-3, and then another six on the 2005 release of Live at Carnegie Hall 1963; the remaining nine songs were released in 2013 on the European limited vinyl release The 50th Anniversary Collection 1963. A remarkable piece of music history relating to Dylan's fabled stop at Carnegie Hall.
