Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 15.75 x 9.25, September 21, 1810. President Madison grants David Cox of Montgomery County a parcel of land "to be sold at Cincinnati by the act of Congress, entitled 'An act providing for the sale of the lands of the United States in the Territory north west of the Ohio, and above the mouth of Kentucky river.'" Signed neatly at the conclusion by James Madison and countersigned by Secretary of State Robert Smith. The embossed off-white seal remains affixed to the lower left corner. Double-matted to an overall size of 20 x 13.75. In very good to fine condition, with some edge staining, and two small holes to the left of the seal.
