Unissued stock certificate for shares in the Napa and Sonoma Wine Company, one page, 9.75 x 5.25, circa 1870s, signed in ink by the company's secretary, Jacob Beringer. The certificate features a fine vignette of a cluster of grapes. Nicely mounted, cloth-matted, and framed with a plaque and vineyard image to an overall size of 21.25 x 21. In fine condition. Jacob Beringer, along with his older sibling Frederick, founded Beringer Brothers Winery in St. Helena, California, in the 1870s; it is the oldest continuously operating vineyard in Napa Valley.
