Partly-printed DS, one page, 8.25 x 10.75, June 10, 1938. Transfer document for a $5,000 certificate of the State of New York's "Loan for the Construction of Buildings for State Institutions," signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by Louis D. Brandeis. Handsomely cloth-matted and framed with the original certificate issued to Brandeis, as well as a portrait and biographical plaque, to an overall size of 37.5 x 24.5. In fine condition, with a plethora of cancellation holes, miraculously none of which come near the signature.
