Gen. Meade sends thanks for "a copy of Genl. McClellan's report"

Union general (1815-1872) best known for leading his troops to a commanding victory over Lee's Confederates at Gettysburg. Civil War-dated ALS signed “Geo. G. Meade, Maj. Genl.,” one page, 4.5 x 7, February 17, 1864. Handwritten letter to Edward H. Wright, in full: "Please accept my thanks for your polite attention in sending me a copy of Genl. McClellan's report, which I have today received." Beautifully cloth-matted and framed with an engraved portrait and biographical caption to an overall size of 20 x 22.5. In fine condition.
