Description

Impressively large display featuring three Revolutionary War-era State of Massachusetts financial documents, issued between 1777 and 1780, signed in ink by various state officials, including: a 1777 bond in the amount of £58.6, carrying an interest rate of 6% per annum, signed at the conclusion by Treasurer Henry Gardner, Sr., and countersigned by three committee members; a 1780 'bounty note' in the amount of ten pounds, signed at the conclusion by Treasurer Henry Gardner, Sr., and countersigned by two committee members; and a 1780 commodity bond in the amount of £374, signed in ink by Treasurer Henry Gardner, Sr., and countersigned by committee members Richard Cranch and Thomas Dawes. Impressively cloth-matted and framed together with a descriptive plaque and map to an overall size of 38 x 31.5. In overall fine condition.
