Description

Early manuscript from a legal ledger, one page both sides, 10.25 x 16.5, no date but circa 18th century. A manuscript concerning a case involving founders from prominent Virginia families—Henry Lee, William Harrison, Benjamin Harrison, Jonathan Gibson—acting as executors for Thomas Harrison, in which the court settled a debt. Impressively cloth-matted and framed with a plaque to an overall size of 20 x 32, with a window in the backing for viewing the reverse. In fine condition.
