Document issued from Yale College's "Commissioner's Office," certifying an account of notes in which there is "a Balance due on taxes from the town of Newtown…amounting to Eight Pounds 2/8 Lawful Money, for which Sum the Commissioners appointed by the General Assembly in May 1793, are accountable agreeable to the Directions contained in an Act entitled an Act for enlarging the Powers and increasing the Funds of Yale-College." Nicely cloth-matted and framed with a hand-colored engraving of Yale College and a descriptive plaque to an overall size of 21.75 x 6.75. In fine condition.
