Description

"I spent a good deal of this past year recording in Montreux with my band, producer Russ Titelman and friends such as Steve Winwood, Mick Fleetwood, Eric Clapton and Lindsey Buckingham"

TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, December 19, 1983. Letter to Warner Bros. Records promotion manager Chris Crist, in part: "It's always difficult to select the 'right' gift for friends, so this year I decided to send two—a bottle of champagne and a Swiss Army knife. The knife is a souvenir of my stay in Switzerland—I spent a good deal of this past year recording in Montreux with my band, producer Russ Titelman and friends such as Steve Winwood, Mick Fleetwood, Eric Clapton and Lindsey Buckingham. In fact, you'll be receiving an advance cassette of cuts from my new solo album in a week or so. I hope you like the music—I'm very proud of it. As for the champagne… well, it's the season for that sort of thing." In fine condition. Accompanied by Chris Crist's Warner Bros. business card.
