Description

From the estate of Apollo 12 moonwalker Alan Bean—a collection of 11 awards, certificates, and honorary keepsakes presented to Bean throughout his legendary career, which includes:

- framed fellowship certificate from the American Astronautical Society, Inc., issued to “Captain Alan L. Bean”
- commendation certificate from the Atomic Energy Commission, issued to “Alan L. Bean” for his lunar studies during the Apollo 12 mission
- certificate from the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts proclaiming June 7, 1970, as ‘Apollo 12 Day’
- an Icelandic Domain certificate award presented to Bean after completing geological training with the Askja-Laki Project, July 10-18, 1965, with a photo of Bean receiving the award
- award plaque from the Aircraft Braking Systems Corporation, dated to the 2001 Airline Conference in San Diego, CA
- Lucite plaque award from the 2016 Project Fibonacci Steam Conference
- College of Variable Stability Knowledge certificate from the Cornell Aeronautical Laboratory in Buffalo, NY, issued to “Lt. A. L. Bean”
- membership certificate for The Philosophical Society of Texas, December 11, 1971, issued to “Alan L. Bean”
- certificate for completion of the USN Aviation Safety Officer Course at the University of Southern California, University College, May 8, 1963, issued to “Alan L. Bean”
- ‘Fuerza Aerea’ certificate from the Republic of Peru, February 17, 1970
- wooden gavel from the University of Houston’s “Sports Auction” of 1989

In overall fine condition, with seven certificates rolled and splits to vertical folds of the Southern California document.

Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Amy Bean, the daughter of Alan Bean.
