Washington asks for a donation of The World: "We are not able to subscribe for it because we have no fund with which we can do so"

TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, Tuskegee Normal & Industrial Institute letterhead, October 16, 1907. Letter to the publishers of The World, in part: "I am very anxious that our students and teachers have the privilege of reading your publication. We are not able to subscribe for it because we have no fund with which we can do so, but in view of the fact that all would be benefited by the reading of it, and it would be widely advertised, I am writing to ask if it could be donated to us." In very good to fine condition, with multiple intersecting folds.
