The flag is affixed to a 14 x 11 Russian presentation certificate featuring an image of the space station Mir, captioned in Cyrillic (translated): "This flag, marking the successful completion of the first phase of the Shuttle-Mir program, was delivered to the Mir space station by Discovery (Shuttle) on flight STS-91, which took place from June 2 to 12, 1998."
