Rare group of six posters for hardcore and punk rock concerts held at various Washington, D.C.-area venues in the mid-to-late 1980s, ranging in size from 14 x 8.5 to 11 x 17, which includes the following bands: Lünch Meat and Mission Impossible, the latter featuring a young Dave Grohl of Nirvana and Foo Fighters fame (August 19th, Fort Reno Park); Sonic Youth, Government Issue, Dopamine, Gone, and Sleep Chamber (July 25th, Complex); Descendents, Dag Nasty, and Justice League (July 18th, Complex); Descendents, Honor Role, Electric Love Muffins (March 5th, Hung Jury Pub); Government Issue, T.S.O.L., Naked Raygun, and Cereal Killers (June 20, 1985, WUST Radio Hall); Government Issue and Rhythm Pigs (July 9, 1987, 9:30 Club). In overall very good to fine condition, with scattered wear and edge tears. These are extremely rare, one-of-a-kind DIY Washington, D.C. venue flyers. Many of the bands on these posters went on to indie or major label fame and success.
