Uncommon 9 x 8.75 swatch of Beta cloth bearing the 2TV-1 mission insignia, with the motto: "Arrogans Avis Cauda Gravis [The Proud Bird with the Heavy Tail]." 2TV-1 was a crewed thermal vacuum chamber test of North American Rockwell's Block II Apollo Command and Service Module, performed from June 16 to 24, 1968. The test at NASA's Manned Spacecraft Center set out to simulate a complete crewed Apollo mission as closely as possible. The 2TV-1 crew consisted of astronauts Joe Kerwin, Joe Engle, and Vance Brand; they wore beta cloth versions of the mission emblem during the test. In fine condition.
