President Coolidge appoints a “Consul of the United States of America at Auckland, New Zealand"

Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 23 x 19, March 19, 1925. President Coolidge appoints Walter F. Boyle as a “Consul of the United States of America at Auckland, New Zealand.” Signed neatly at the conclusion by Calvin Coolidge and countersigned by Secretary of State Frank B. Kellogg. The large embossed wafer seal remains affixed to the lower left. In very good to fine condition, with scattered creasing, and soiling in the margins. Walter Fabien Boyle (1875-1956), a Georgia native, worked with the U.S. Postal Service before joining the U.S. State Department.
