Two items: a glossy 10 x 8 photo of a smiling Jimmy Carter neck-deep in a fish pond at his home in Plains, Georgia, signed in black felt tip, “J. Carter”; and an ANS signed “Jimmy C.,” penned in black ballpoint at the bottom of a 2014 letter from a collector asking his recollections of the included photo. Carter’s handwritten response reads: “To Tim: We drained my fish pond in the summer of 1976, & the photo is from then.” In overall fine condition, with a JSA label affixed to the photo, which includes a certificate of authenticity from JSA. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, which bears Carter's facsimile franking signature.
