Description

TLS, one page, 4.75 x 7.25, personal letterhead, July 2, 1896. Letter to Mrs. L. L. Bassett of Cleveland, written two weeks after his nomination for president at the 1896 Republican National Convention. In full: "I beg that you accept my grateful acknowledgment of your congratulatory letter." In very good condition, with overall toning and chipping to the closely trimmed edges, not affecting the bold signature.
